Back to School Time!

Well, it is that time of the year again! Kids are starting school, parents glad to have kids doing something! This year, Allison started first grade and Andrew is in the 10th. (Andrew thought this picture was corny...)
Andrew is now 15, which means he can get his permit! Scary... He got a phone (finally!) from us and the internet on it from Grandma. He is one happy camper!

Speaking of camping... we went camping again. Same lake (Greer's Ferry) but new location. We had such a good time! It did rain on us a little, but that didn't stop our fun! (Thomas in the puddles)

(Allison trying to stay dry, Thomas trying to get wet!)

But we had a good summer and the kids are excited to be back in school!

4th of July Camping

This year we went camping for the Fourth. Greer's Ferry Lake. Oh, it was so nice! Clear water, swimming, fishing, playground... We all had a blast!!!
All the kids caught fish (Allison's and Thomas' first).

Thomas got too tired to stay up for the campfire.

And we saw a perfect rainbow! What a weekend!

Summer Fun

So far we have had a really fun summer! The boys went with the Scouts to canoe the boundary waters up in Minnesota. They had a blast! They had great things to say about all the nice people (‘eh) and the beautiful scenery. Andrew caught the biggest fish of the trip. The weather was pretty good for them, 60’s during the day, 40’s at night, mostly sunny.

While the boys were off on their adventure, the babies and I went to Grandma’s for the week. She watched the kids (including my niece, Presley) during the day so I didn’t have to take a vacation week. They had such fun! Story Time at the Library, swimming in the pool, playing games, eating snacks! They were so sad when it was time to go home!

Another adventure some members of our household went on included two of our 8 week old kittens.I went to work one morning and when I got there, two kittens started crying from under my car. I drive 90 miles to get to work, so these tiny kittens must have hung on for dear life!!! They were fine, not a scratch or anything. They wound up staying at work with me, in a box behind my desk. They were so tired from their adventure that (thankfully) they slept all day! (Princess is above and Halloween is below)

Happy Fourth to all!!!!

Imaginations Running Wild

Kids have crazy imaginations and my kids have the craziest! It has been raining in TN for close to two months now. We are all getting a little tired of being cramped in. The other night, Adrian and I decided to let the kids eat alone in the kitchen. After all, Andrew was in there with the other two and all would be fine, right? Wrong. :) Within 5 minutes, Allison and Thomas were screaming at each other. Whatever they were fighting about left Thomas in tears! So I went in there to find out what was wrong. Thomas said that Allison wouldn’t give him his headphones. The only thing was, neither kid had anything. They were fighting over an imaginary MP3 player. If that don’t beat all! So Mommy settled it by offering to give Thomas one in any color he wanted. I “tossed” it over to him and he was happy as could be! LOL!
We have had some fun events lately. Adrian’s sister got married and Andrew was an usher and Allison was the Flower Girl. Weren’t they cute?!
Allison graduated Kindergaten. Now she is an important First Grader!!
Thomas informed us a few weeks ago that he knew where the rain came from. The Giant in the sky was washing his car. And when it wasn’t raining was when the Giant would drive his car and get it all dirty. Works for me. :)

Spring Time!

Oh, isn’t the spring pretty?! Although we have to endure 5 days of rain to every one pretty day! When it does dry up, we try to take the kids out as much as possible.
You know, to play in the dirt! LOL! Or to go down slides at the local play ground. The Boys go camping this weekend, so it will just be me and the Babies! Whoo-hoo! LOL! Maybe if it is nice, we can play outside more!
